Yesterday we put together our second show of the spring semester. This time it was Amanda and Niema as the co-anchors of the show. By the time the show was about to begin, I felt like my head was going to detach and land somewhere between the two chairs.
The reason for this feeling was that unlike the first show, I was unable to fully construct the rundown. I had to spend a lot of time shooting for our Columbia Links package as well as getting our weekly Metro Minutes tag from NBC corespondent Marcus Riley.
I think the big positive from our show this week was that there were more voiceovers. Television is a visual enterprise, and the more video you can have in the show, the better.
There are few things more bland than watching an entire show of readers. Variation is what takes a show from blandness to possible greatness.
This upcoming week Jeremie and Elizabeth will be the anchors and already there are some solid stories on tap. So make sure you stay tuned!
